 The General Ted Sorensen Group

I truly hate to part with this group, which has been the crown jewel of my WWII AAF groups collection from a number of years, but frankly it is too large for me to display, and is not doing much good in a closet. I am going to list it here on the forum, before I take it anywhere else. I certainly want to keep it all together as it took almost a year of hard work to reassemble it after some parts had been sold off to other parties. It is all original, obtained by me, directly from the estate, or in a few cases, from the person who bought it from the estate. The patched and A-2 have been featured in ASMIC's "The Trading Post".

The Group:

I have the non-uniform items broken into 2 eras WWII, and everything after as you will see in the photos. I have the cases for all the medals (pictured).

None of the medals are named, not even the Air Force DSM, but for that I have the framed citation. The Silver Star is a BB&B numbered, WWI era. The Squadron patch in the case I believe to be the original design, he is credited with designing the squadron patch.

A-2 is direct painted, and in good shape, as is the flight helmet. The Korean war era uniform has all insignia direct embroidered. The Whites and Blues, have pants three pair on the blues. The blues have the new style buttons the whites the old. I have his yearbooks and some photos from different periods. I have what I believe is his whole "I love me" wall, many plaques. All of the rest of his paperwork was destroyed by the family.
